Every Friday we’ll pick a theme and then five things (hence the name! We’re so original!!!!!) that fit that theme. Feel free to make your own choices in the comments, or send them to us on Twitter. This week we’re talking about the salty and the sweet stuff that we HAVE to have when we’re driving long distance.
Have you ever bought Great Value trail mix? They have a bajillion different varieties and big ol’ bags are only $5. When I was on the road for work I kept bags of this stuff in my rental car. It’s salty (which means I had to stop to pee less) and there are sweet or savory kinds (I usually choose the sweet). Plus you get fuller faster because nuts! Win-win.
I love these little fire sticks. These are my go to for two reasons: 1) They taste great. 2) No one else in my family likes them. I know that may seem like a weird reason but 85% of the time when I’m going on a road trip I’m going with the whole fam. I don’t mind sharing things I like at all, the only problem is I usually only get a little of what I brought. Sometimes you just need something that’s just yours, you know?
Okay, I know this isn’t really a snack but it’s the one thing I refuse to go on a trip without. My hubs hates it because I have to pee every ten minutes but whatever. I need it!
