Every Friday we’ll pick a theme and then five things (hence the name! We’re so original!!!!!) that fit that theme. Feel free to make your own choices in the comments, or send them to us on Twitter. This week we’re putting on our scrubs and talking about our favorite medical dramas (or comedies).
I LOVED Grey’s Anatomy … until they killed off Denny. I know it was “realistic” but I DON’T CARE. Never in my life have I been so connected to a minor character. I legit gave up on that show after he died. I don’t think I’ll ever be over it.
Anyone else have a rager for Bill Pullman? I mean, Lone Star, hellooooo. There’s something about his quiet gruffness that just really does it for me. He’s particularly lovely in this movie opposite ol’ Sandy B. Part of it is his character, part is his natural Pullman-ness.
I honestly only started watching this show for Eoin Macken, but then I became sort of obsessed. It was pretty universally panned, but that sort of thing has never bothered me before. The over-the-topness is part of what keeps me coming back. And at it’s heart, it’s telling good stories. Also Eoin is real hot. *shrugs*
My first medical show, and my forever fave. I was madly in love with Doogie when I was a kid. He was my inspiration for starting a diary, which later became the gateway to fiction writing. Thanks Doogie!
Ok this might be cheating but I don’t care. If Dean Winchester loves Dr Sexy M.D. then so do I. According to Super-wiki, this show has been mentioned on Supernatural three times. First in s4, then in s5 in Changing Channels, and then again in s7. I didn’t realize that at one point Grey’s Anatomy aired at the same time as Supernatural did on Thursdays and that’s where this came from. (I’ve never seen an episode of Grey’s Anatomy…)
