Hey all! I’m here to bring you a new series about cosplaying. My idea is to break popular characters down into a bite sized breakdown that can help you if you’re struggling on where to even begin the whole process. To start us off was have the one and only Steven Universe. I want to give you DIY options as well as options to buy.
For the DIY option you’ll need to start with a red/heather red shirt. The heather red gives you more of the faded/worn look but if you can’t find one a plain red one works just fine! Once you get shirt that fits how you want it you’ll need to add the star. There are a ton of options for this. Here, here and here are a few of my favorites.
All you’re going to need for this is a pair of jeans rolled up! Super easy right? Just grab your comfiest pair and roll ’em up! No need to buy a new pair. Unless you want to in which case god speed!
You can rock your own natural hair or if you want to rock a wig here are some options.
You can’t be Steven without your Gem! If you’re looking to make your own here, here and here should give you an idea of what to do! If you want to avoid that altogether you can buy flatback resin gems here and here.
And you’re done! That’s the bite sized cosplay of Steven Universe. Does that mean there isn’t more that could be added? Heck no! There’s Hamburger back pack, Steven’s shield and many more awesome things you can add! Make it your own and be sure to tweet us pictures of your cosplay if this was helpful for you!
Until Next time!
